Mike Condon (Head Coach) first competed in distance running as a 6th grader at Pilot Butte Middle School before transferring to Sky View as an 8th grader its opening year.  Mike is a 2005 graduate of Mountain View where he competed in cross country four years as well as Nordic skiing and track.  After high school, Mike earned his Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, where he competed in cross country and qualified with his team for the cross country national championships twice.

After college, Mike returned to Bend and held an assistant cross country position at Mountain View from 2009 to 2012 and has been head coach since 2015.  Mike is active in the local race community and competes in a variety of running and multi-sport races.  He met his wife Megan while competing at the Duel in the Desert Duathlon and they enjoy sharing an active lifestyle and look forward to coaching together.  Mike has placed 3rd in the individual elite category of the Pole Pedal Paddle twice and is plagued with a mildly unhealthy obsession to someday win it.

Mike is honored to be head coach and is focused on facilitating an inclusive team environment, contributing to personal growth of team athletes, sharing in an experience that will shape your time in high school, and building a program that is successful in competition.

Megan Condon grew up in Bend where she ran cross country for Bend High School.  She went on to run at Seattle Pacific University where she had the privileged of competing at the National DII cross country meet in Florida during her junior year - one of her most memorable running experiences.  She has continued to compete in local races, triathlons and makes exercise part of her daily routine.

After SPU, Megan attended Duke University where she earned a Masters Degree as a Physician AssistantUsing these skills and those gained as a physical therapy aid, Megan has helped develop a strength-training program to better manage injury prevention.

She is passionate about walking (and running!) along side young athletes as they learn how to compete, balance life and academics, realize the reward of hard work and discipline, and have fun in the meantime!

Monty Gregg has been a distance runner since the 8th grade when he started running cross country. He grew up in Redmond and ran cross country and track for Redmond High School. Like many of our runners, Monty attended Steens Mountain Running Camp in the summers which helped him achieve all conference status and compete at the state cross country championships as well as Footlocker Regionals. After high school, Monty ran for Western Oregon University. His highest achievement at the college level was qualifying for the cross country national championships.

Growing up in Central Oregon Monty has always had a love for the outdoors and as a kid he was regularly camping, hiking, hunting, and fishing with his family. Because of that passion for the outdoors Monty earned a degree in Wildlife Sciences from Oregon State University. He is employed by the U.S. Forest Service as the District Wildlife Biologist on the Sisters Ranger District.

Monty and his wife Carisa have two daughters Paige and Piper. Paige is a sophomore at Mt. View and Piper is in the third grade at Lava Ridge Elementary.

Peter Hatton grew up in Bend and ran cross country at Bend High and Mountain View where he competed at state twice.  He graduated from Mountain View in 1979 and attended COCC where he ran cross country and competed in tennis.  He then attended University of Oregon and graduated in 1984 with a Bachelors Degree in Finance.  Peter has coached cross country and track at Cascade Middle School, Sky View Middle School and Mountain View High School.  He has four children that are Mountain View alumni including three that ran cross country.
